Friday Link Love - New Discoveries Edition
Filed under: Link Love
It’s been yet another hard week of work on the job and blogging fronts, but there’s been plenty to show for it. I didn’t submit any articles to carnivals last week, so there’s not much to report in that direction, but there are a few sites that I discovered in the last couple of weeks that I think you should know about.
PersonalFinance.Alltop.com - In March of this year, Guy Kawasaki introduced the world to Alltop.com. Alltop.com is a feed aggregator service that serves up a list of the most recent articles from some of the best bloggers in a growing number of categories. I am pleased to announce that was recently added to the Personal Finance roundup (look for me near the bottom). The site is a great place to go look for new blogs to read, stories you may have missed, or inspiration for your own next writing project.
one hundred push ups - I found this after a number of other personal finance bloggers (who also happen to have fitness-related sites) announced their intention to complete the hundred pushup plan. I just started my second week in the plan and I already can tell a difference. As you may already know, I’ve been working on bringing down my weight since my birthday through dieting and exercise. While most of my exercise has focused on fat burning, I really desire to also increase my strength. In just under two weeks, I’ve gone from doing 20 pushups consecutively to over 30 (and over 60 non-consecutively).
Personal Finance Buzz (aff.) - I mentioned it before, but I would be negligent to my peers if I didn’t mention it again. Pinyo, best known from Moolanomy, launched this personal finance article ranking service about a month ago and we’ve all been watching it take off. Likened to Digg, PFBuzz allows you to submit articles and then rank the other articles you find. It’s a great way to discover new and popular topics and even drive traffic to your own blog.
Thirty Day Challenge - I just discovered this site today, but I signed up immediately. From the site, “The Thirty Day Challenge is about making your first $10 online. For a full 30 days we are going to be showing you exactly how to start your own Internet business and generate your first income online without spending a dime.” That was interesting enough to convince me to throw my hat in the ring. I’ve already made more than my first $10, but it’s always nice to get free training to help improve.
But while it’s great getting to share larger-scale sites with you, Link Love is about applauding some of the great articles from other personal finance bloggers in the past week. So without further delay, it’s time for some love:
- MSN Money Blog - Multiple income streams: 10 ways to earn extra money

- Mrs. Micah - Is Blogging Passive Income?

Thanks! :)
That 30 day challenge looks fun. There’s always more to learn.
