Friday Link Love - Half-Anniversary Contest Edition
It’s hard to believe, but I’ve been writing here for six months already. Today marks not only One Caveman’s Financial Journey’s 6-month anniversary, but also my 100th post. It’s great to reach two milestones on the same day. In order to celebrate this occasion properly, I have decided to host a contest to reward you for helping me make it this far.
I am pleased to announce that next Friday (June 20, 2008), I will give away $25 of my own hard-earned money in the form of an Amazon.com gift card to one lucky reader.
How to Win:
You can earn up to three entries to win:
- Subscribe to my RSS feed, either in your feed reader or by email, and then email me the secret phrase that appears at the bottom of the feed
- Leave an approved comment on this post.
- Write a post on your own blog mentioning this contest and send an approved trackback.
(As soon as the contest is over, I will discard all collected email addresses so you never have to worry about receiving spam or that your address will be released. The only reason I need a valid email address is to notify you if you are the winner.) All qualified entries will be collected in a spreadsheet and sorted by the time the entry was received. On Friday, June 20, 2008, I will log onto random.org and request a random number from their system. The entry that appears on the randomly selected row number will be the winner.
Rules:
- The contest ends June 19, 2008, 11:59pm CDT. Entries received after that time will be discarded.
- One entry per method per IP address and/or email address.
- I will email the winner once. If I do not hear back from the winner within 1 week, I reserve the right to award the prize to another winner.
- Local laws, rules and regulations apply.

I constructed them myself using Google’s Charting API. I’m planning on writing a Wordpress plugin to handle creating them automatically sometime soon, but we all know how quickly time can slip away…

Happy Anniversary! This post made me realize that I haven’t even thought about, nor looked to see how many posts I’ve done or exactly how long I’ve been publishing articles on my site.
