What I’ve Learned So Far on This Business Trip

My business trip lasts through Tuesday, but already I have a bunch of new things to write about. Here’s a little of what I’ve learned so far by experience or by watching others:
- A per diem (the equivalent of your company giving you a daily allowance for your trip) can be a frugal man’s best friend
- A per diem also affords you the opportunity to try new things you otherwise wouldn’t
- Business trips with your boss are a great way to socialize and bond
- Business trips are also a great chance to bond with your customer
- Always drink less than your customer and always drink less than your “limit”
And finally, what may be the most important of all:
- Don’t polish off your third cup of coffee just before the start of a long meeting or conference in a cold room
I can’t wait to get back and share some of my unexpected revelations with you.
