I read a lot of articles and blogs throughout the week. Seriously, I’m tracking the feeds of over 25 personal finance blogs right now and I’m constantly finding new ones. Reading books will teach you a lot, but the constant flow of new ideas from blogs will really teach you a great deal.
In the spirit of wanting to learn everything I can, I want to share some jewels I found this week:
- E.C. at Not Living on Ramen (a great blog name, by the way) encourages us to think twice before taking out student loans. She gives some very good advice backed up by personal experience.
- Dumb Little Man shares 20+ ways to get rid of your debt for good.
- Blueprint for Financial Prosperity compiled a list of free tax preparations services.
- Speaking of taxes, The Honest Dollar warns us about 3 common tax scams to watch out for.
- Trent at The Simple Dollar wrote up a huge list of 100 great tips for saving money for those just getting started.
- J.D., the guru at Get Rich Slowly, explains how lower fees and expenses with index funds could mean 33% more to spend in retirement.
- Also on the subject of fees, JLP at AllFinancialMatters reminds us that fees matter.
There are a lot of great writers out there with amazing insight. Browse around and let me know if you find any great ones that I may not yet be tracking. I’m always looking for great new reading!
